Mercury Retrograde, the Year of the Horse, and Finding Alignment

March 06, 2026 by Quentin Marcellis

As we move through another powerful cosmic season, many people are feeling shifts in communication, emotions, and daily momentum. One of the biggest influences right now is Mercury Retrograde, a period when the planet Mercury appears to move backward in the sky. In astrology, Mercury governs communication, travel, and technology, which is why misunderstandings, delays, and unexpected changes often seem more common during this time. Rather than fearing it, I view Mercury Retrograde as a cosmic invitation to slow down, reflect, and realign with our intentions.

This energy is especially interesting right now because it overlaps with the bold momentum of the Year of the Horse and the illuminating power of the most recent Full Moon. While the Horse encourages courage, independence, and forward movement, Mercury Retrograde asks us to pause and reconsider our direction before we charge ahead. Full Moons, meanwhile, bring emotional clarity and revelation. Together, these energies remind us that growth often requires both reflection and action.

For me personally, this period of reflection comes during an exciting and transformative chapter. I’m currently studying communications at Tulsa Community College while balancing creative pursuits like modeling, working as a runway coach for the fashion show Canvas and Couture, auditioning for television opportunities, and developing my next music project, On A Journey In The Midwest. Through Queology, I also offer services such as astrology consultations, tarot readings, meditation guidance, and yoga practices designed to help others find alignment during powerful cosmic cycles like this one. The universe moves in rhythms, and sometimes Mercury Retrograde simply reminds us to breathe, reflect, and trust the journey.
